I have led teams in demanding environments, built websites for real clients, and developed the kind of practical, adaptable skill set that translates well across industries.

I am motivated to bring both my academic foundation and hands-on experience to an organization where I can contribute meaningfully from day one and continue to develop as a business professional.

Experience

May 2026 – Present

Floor Assistant

Fish Lake Road, Waterloo, ON

Operating within a fast-paced production environment, I consistently take initiative beyond the scope of assigned duties to support team goals and keep daily operations running smoothly. This role has strengthened my ability to adapt quickly, manage shifting priorities, and communicate effectively across a diverse team of colleagues with varying roles and responsibilities.

Working alongside individuals at different levels of the organization has reinforced my understanding of cross-functional dynamics and the importance of clear, respectful communication in any workplace setting.

Crew Leader

Maple Leaf Marinas and Desmasdons Boatworks, Pointe au Baril, ON

Promoted to Crew Leader after demonstrating consistent reliability and initiative, I oversaw the day-to-day operations of rotating crews within a team of 18 across six seasons at a high-volume marina. This included managing employee performance, enforcing health and safety standards, mediating conflicts, and maintaining a productive team culture under significant time pressure.

Each season brought new hires and new challenges. I developed a strong instinct for reading team dynamics, having direct performance conversations, and ensuring every crew member understood their responsibilities and felt supported. Balancing team leadership with client-facing service, assisting 25 to 50 guests daily with onboarding, maintenance requests, and point-of-sale transactions, sharpened my organizational skills and reinforced the value of structure and accountability at every level.

Education

Current · May 2025 – Present

Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)

Major: Human Resources Management

Conestoga College, Kitchener, ON

This degree is the academic foundation I am building my career on. Through coursework in recruitment and selection, workplace legislation, organizational behaviour, and employee management, I am developing the technical knowledge to complement the hands-on leadership experience I have gained outside the classroom.

The international business stream broadens my perspective further, covering global business strategy, economics, and cross-cultural management, skills that are increasingly relevant in diverse, modern workplaces. Group project work is a significant part of the program, and I regularly present findings and proposals to peers under strict deadlines, building the communication and collaboration skills I carry into every professional setting.

Sept 2022 – June 2024

Diploma in Business Administration

Conestoga College, Kitchener, ON

This two-year diploma gave me a strong, well-rounded foundation in core business disciplines. Coursework in accounting, finance, marketing, and business strategy developed my analytical thinking and commercial awareness, giving me the broader business context that informs how I approach problems and decisions.

Early coursework in human resources management and customer relations confirmed my interest in pursuing HR as a specialization, and the professional communication skills developed throughout this program continue to shape how I engage with teams, clients, and colleagues.

Web Design

Alongside my studies, I have built websites for individuals, small businesses, and community associations, taking projects from initial concept through to a finished, live product. I work with a solid foundation in HTML and CSS, and I have embraced AI-assisted tools to extend my capabilities and deliver polished results. The site you are viewing was built using exactly that approach. I see technical adaptability as a real professional asset, and one that sets me apart in a business environment that increasingly values people who can move comfortably between disciplines.
